I wish I had you here to guide me,

Through mourning’s stormy seas.

I miss your smile, I miss your laugh,

I miss the times we’d share.

I even miss the times we cried,

Just because you were there.

The ache I feel inside my chest,

Is so deep and so profound.

That I feel as though I’ve lost my hold

Upon the solid ground.

But in my darkest moments

I can feel that you are near.

Keeping your watch over me

Always and forever here.
