Interested in serving as a community representative on a Seattle transportation advisory board or committee? Learn more about current and upcoming volunteer opportunities.
I’d like to share an opportunity for members of the public to get involved and help shape how transportation works in the city. Seattle Department of Transportation is seeking volunteers for five advisory boards and committees. The City of Seattle is committed to promoting diversity in the city’s boards and commissions. We strongly encourage Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC) community members, women, people with disabilities, LGBTQ people, young people, seniors (over 65), immigrants, and multicultural and/or multilingual community members to apply.
The boards are:
Move Seattle Levy Oversight Committee (LOC) – volunteer positions available
School Traffic Safety Committee (STSC) – volunteer positions available
Seattle Bicycle Advisory Board (SBAB) – no current vacancies
Seattle Freight Advisory Board (SFAB) – volunteer positions available
Seattle Pedestrian Advisory Board (SPAB) – volunteer positions available
Transit Advisory Board (TAB) – volunteer positions available
To learn more, visit this recent SDOT blog post.
Applications for volunteer positions are being accepted until Sunday, March 27, at 11:59 p.m., via the City Clerk’s website.
