After realizing the lack of quality Early Childhood Education opportunities in the South Everett Community, particularly for low-income BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) families. He founded the Rise Up Academy (formerly the Greater Trinity Academy) in 1999 with his dear friend Mr. Kenny Easley former NFL Seattle Seahawk player, now Hall of Famer 2017. He believes that the best way to eliminate the achievement gap that exists in our society today is by making a high-quality and innovative Early Childhood Education program accessible for all students, especially those who would otherwise not be able to afford it. Over the past 24 years, RUA has developed into a highly respected Early Childhood Education center recognized by such individuals as Mike & Jackie Bezos, Bill Gates Sr., Brad Tilden, and others. Under his leadership, the Rise Up Academy has raised nearly $7 million dollars through successful grants and fundraisers. This has enabled Dr. Stoot to insist that the staff and students at the Rise Up Academy strive to reach the highest possible standards and goals for our program, with the motto of: ‘I Can Learn Anything!’ Dr. Stoot is active locally and nationally in leadership positions and has held many state positions throughout the state. In June 2015, he completed his Doctor of Ministry with an emphasis on Life Coaching from Faith Evangelical Seminary in Tacoma, Washington. In 2021, Dr. Stoot collaborated with Providence Medical Center and other community leaders to offer vaccines to the BIPOC community. Additionally, he proudly graduated from the FBI Seattle Citizens Academy as a Western Community Region advocate. He is very proud of his children, Anisa and Paul II, whom he loves so very much. Dr. Stoot and his team are dedicated to the growth and development of their community, and they believe that God is providing opportunities for them to achieve their goals. Together with a group of developers, they are working on the ARISE Development Community project, which will be a $29 million dollar project, including a 30,000-square-foot building featuring a new school, with a state-of-the-Art Performance Theatre where kids can demonstrate their ability through the STEAM Program (Science, Technology, Engineer, Arts, and Math.) a place of worship, and 31-35 low-income affordable apartments. Additionally, the building will provide many programs and facilities to improve the lives of children, families, and the community.
