SEAHAWKS LOSING IN FREE AGENCY GAME

The National Football Leagues Free Agency commenced last Monday and all we heard from the V-Mac were crickets. The Seattle Seahawks made a nary move. Now mind you the team has 37 unrestricted free agents. Yes that number is correct. Understand the consternation in Seahawks Nation when Tuesday rolled around other NFL teams decided to pluck from list. You know use it or lose it. No ring needed to put on finger here, a contract in hand would serve you well my brother or sister. You know we now have female agents. Okay back to the lecture at hand. On Tuesday the Seahawks lost Shaquill Griffin and Carlos Hyde to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both players were starters last season.

Hyde jumped into the starting lineup when Chris Carson was injured. Insult to injury? Chris Carson is a free agent as well. And incase you are wondering quarterback Russell Wilson is still with the Seahawks are all indications are pointing to him staying. If you are wondering if the Seahawks will sign all 35 players the answer is no. No teams ever does. So lets take a quick look at who are some of the critical names on the Seahawks free agency list. Linebacker K.J Wright Cornerback Quinton Dunbar, offensive Linemen Ethan Pocic ( center) Chad Wheeler( tight tackle), Jordan Simmons ( left guard). Defensive linemen Carlos Dunlap, Benson Mayoma, Branden Jackson, Jonathn Bullard, Damontre Moore, Bryan Mone and Poona Ford. Yes the Seahawks are in dire straits when it comes to the defensive interior. Without a significant upgrade the team could have another defensive collapse. The offensive line could use a major overhauling as Russell Wilson is no famously quoted. And no running back? Stay calm Seahawks Nation it is only day three of the free agency period and much will happen. I promise you that.
