In Loving Memory La'Quarein A. Bankston


The late La’Quarein A. Bankston also known as ‘Qweeta’ to family and ‘Lala’ to friends was born January 26th, 1987 to the late Andrew Berry Jr. and Rose Cheryl Bankston in Monroe, Louisiana. She was the oldest of a total of 10 siblings. La'Quarein was raised in Seattle, WA and attended a host of schools including T.T. Minor, Leschi, Washington middle school and in June of 2005 she graduated from Cleveland High School.

La'Quarein had many different talents and hobbies such as dancing and sales but was most known for her ability to do hair. She was a joy to be around and brought laughter to all of those in her presence. Her big heart and willingness to take care of those she loved is what will be missed the most.

On March 11, 2022, La'Quarein was called home at a young age of 35. She is preceded in death by both of her maternal grandparents Christine Brown-Houston and Roosevelt “Sonny” Bankston, paternal grandfather Andrew E. Berry Sr. as well as her father Andrew Berry Jr. and aunts Velma A. Bankston and Diana Bankston.

She leaves to cherish her memory Two Sons Jamael Valiere and David Ruiz Jr., Mother Rose Bankston, Step Father James Fisher, Grandmother Addie Berry-Taylor, Great grandmother Anne Lou Brown, Siblings Deb'Viyone Fisher, Christina Fisher, Jayla Fisher, Nazari Fisher of Seattle, Washington and Kenterrius Lewis, Kendrick Berry, Kimberla Lewis, Shaver Brass, Dree Berry and Jayla Berry of Monroe, Louisiana, God-Father Daniel Molino Sr., God-Mother Dawn Hasty, God-Sisters Ariana Anderson, Candace Molino and Quenesha Anderson and God-Brother Danny Molino Jr., God-Daughter Cynaii Huggins, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
