Rally the Streets: Seattle Pride Parade Returns Downtown

Nearly 300,000 Expected Along 4th Avenue on Sunday, June 28

for Washington's Largest Pride Celebration

 

SEATTLE – It’s time to ‘Rally’ and bring your full self on Sunday, June 28, as the Seattle Pride Parade takes over downtown Seattle. Nearly 300,000 people are expected to line Fourth Avenue (from Union Street to Denny Way) as more than 200 community groups, nonprofits, businesses, and civic leaders march together in Washington’s largest Pride celebration.

 

This year’s parade centers the theme “Rally,” celebrating the power of coming together—raising voices, honoring LGBTQIA2S+ history, and affirming the joy, resilience, and purpose of community. With visitors from across the globe arriving to cheer for their teams, all are welcome to join in the day of celebration. The day begins at 10 a.m. with pre‑show entertainment at the Westlake Park stage, followed by the parade beginning at 11 a.m.

 

Kicking off the day’s festivities at 10 a.m., along 4th Avenue at Westlake Park are opening statements from this year’s grand marshals and the presentation of the Seattle Pride Ackerman Award of Service to Stacy Bass-Walden, co-founder and co-producer of West Seattle’s Alki Beach Pride. The pre-show will feature a performance by Danza Monarcas, as well as entertainment from the Westlake Park stage announcers and DJs.

Leading this year’s parade as grand marshals are queer activist and community leader DeAunt’e Damper and the PWHL’s Seattle Torrent.

 

More than a spectacle, the parade is a living expression of Seattle’s queer legacy—a space where generations connect, stories are shared, and community shows up in full force. The celebration is inclusive and family‑friendly, inviting everyone to rally together with pride.

 

"Every year, the Seattle Pride Parade reminds us of what is possible when community comes together,” said Patti Hearn, executive director of Seattle Pride. “This year's theme, Rally, speaks exactly to the power of showing up for one another, of making space for every voice, and of celebrating the joy and resilience that defines us." 

 

A new addition this year is the opportunity for parade-goers to cast their vote for their favorite marching groups in three categories, including Best Float awarded to the parade group with the most creative, eye-catching float design, Best Performance for the group that brought the most energy to the street through either choreography, live music, or pure showmanship, and Best Rally, which will be awarded to the entry that best embodies the spirit of this year’s theme. The voting link will be live on parade day on SeattlePride.org/events/parade.

 

For those looking for premium views, grandstand seating, which has been expanded this year, is available for advance purchase near the Westlake Park, 4th & Lenora, and 4th & Bell stages while supplies last. Tickets are on sale now at SeattlePride.org. Accessibility is a priority, as there will be ASL interpreters, hydration stations, and accessible portable restrooms along the parade route.

 

Parade-goers can have an elevated experience with the Official Seattle Pride Parade Drag Brunch. Hosted by The Sound Hotel Seattle Belltown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, the event promises an unforgettable day of food, drinks, drag performances, and up-close views to the Seattle Pride Parade. For those unable to attend in person, the Seattle Pride Parade will be live on KIRO 7’s TV broadcast for the first 90 minutes of the parade, with the entire parade being livestreamed at kiro7.com/pride. KIRO 7 is Seattle Pride’s official TV partner. Other media partners include Converge Media, SGN, The Seattle Times, The Stranger; and radio stations 107.7 The End, c89.5, KEXP, KNKX, MOViN 92.5, and WARM 106.9.
