Celebrating Ernestine Anderson

Jazz is an African-American creation, a gift to Seattle and the world alike. It affirms our collective humanity and speaks eloquently about freedom, creativity, struggle, perseverance,

and triumph! Throughout her six-decade career, Seattle jazz and blues treasure Ernestine Anderson exemplified these attributes. She recorded more than 30 albums, received four Grammy nominations, and performed on the world's most prestigious stages, including the United States White House, Carnegie Hall, and the first Monterey Jazz Festival. For all these reasons and more, we invite you to join us in Celebrating Ernestine Anderson!
