Celebrating the Life of DeWitt Alvin Harris, Jr.

January 5, 1944 - June 15, 2022 DeWitt Alvin Harris, Jr. was born on January 5th, 1944 to the union of DeWitt Harris, Sr. and Angelee Harris in Shreveport, Louisiana. DeWitt was the eldest of his siblings, one sister and six brothers. He leaves in his legacy: five children, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild due this August. DeWitt loved to laugh, tell stories, and was never without a piece of Juicy Fruit gum to share. He was a beloved member of his many communities, and transitioned peacefully on June 15, 2022. A viewing will be held at Serenity Funeral Home - 749 Central Avenue N, Kent, WA - on Monday, June 27 from 5:00 - 7:00pm. Services will be held at Mount Zion Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 28 at 11:00am, and the family requests that attendees wear black, accented with any shade of blue, and for public health and safety, masks are required.
