Celebrating the Life of James A. McKinney "Jimmy Mac"


James A. McKinney 

Sunrise: July 18, 1942 - Sunset: May 10, 2025

James McKinney was born on July 18, 1942, to the late James and Corine McKinney of Memphis, Tennessee. He departed the earthly life and entered into eternal rest on May 10, 2025, at 6:15 AM, at 82 years old. 

James "Jimmy Mac" received his education at Manass High School in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating in 1960, and later joined the U.S. Army.

Later he moved to Seattle, WA, and worked at Boeing Company in Renton. he then moved on to The Westin Hotel, where he was banquet manager for many years. Jimmy Mac was a dedicated worker, and he loved working with people. He was very talented.  James was an accomplished musician, formed a group called the Creation. They performed all over Seattle. He performed with the Wisper's as they named him the 6th Wisper, at one time. Jimmy Mac loved life, always filled with laughter and fun, and was a very talented man with many friends. He will be greatly missed by the warm personality and compassion he showed to everyone whose lives he touched. 

Funeral Service: Thursday, June 12, 2025, 3 PM (Doors close at start time) Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 SE 240th Street, Kent, WA 98042. 

Repast: Thursday, June 12, following service at 5 PM, Royal Esquire Club, 5016 Rainier Ave So, Seattle, WA 98118. 

Continued Celebration of Life Thursday, June 12, 2025 1832 S. 120th Street, Burien, WA 98168.
