Celebrating the life of Rosemary M. Stanton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosemary M. Stanton (Henderson) on September 19, 2026.
Rosemary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and nurse. She was a pillar of strength, love, and wisdom to her family and community. She meant everything to us and to the many lives she touched.
For more than 45 years, Rosemary dedicated herself to nursing. She was one of the first Black nurses at Group Health, leaving a meaningful mark on the profession and helping pave the way for those who followed.
Her greatest legacy, however, was the love she gave so freely. Her kindness, strength, wisdom, and presence will live on through her family, friends, patients, and community.
Please join us as we celebrate Rosemary’s beautiful life and lasting legacy in true Louisiana style, with love, respect, and celebration.
