Celebrating the life of Wendy Anderson

ree

Wendy was born on December 17, 1959 in Seattle, Washington to the Late Susie (Mitchell) Bailey. Wendy was raised in the Central District and attended Seattle Public Schools. She accepted Christ at an early age at the Goodwill Missionary Baptist church where she was apart of the angle choir.

Wendy was a resilient soul, who lived a life defined by Strength, endurance and an unyielding spirit. Although Wendy’s journey was not an easy one, she would always stand strong in the face of adversary, she NEVER allowed ANYONE to play in her face!

Despite facing setbacks that could have hardened the gentlest heart, Wendy met each new obstacle with determination, and unwavering strength. Wendy never allowed her circumstances to define who she was, a Rose, growing in concrete! A rose by any other name is and will always be a rose!

Wendy taught us that true strength does not lie in the absence of struggle, but in the ability to rise after every fall. Even in her darkest of times, she found reason to smile, laugh, and love family.

Though marked by pain, Wendy’s journey was also graced with moments of joy, love, and triumph. She treasured friendship, valued honesty, and time spent with family. Wendy’s life journey is a testament to the power of the human spirit. A reminder that we are not defined by what we endure, but by how we respond to adversity.

On October 21, 2025 Wendy was summed home off the battlefield. She leaves to celebrate her memory her beloved children: Charles (Ray) Bailey, Lasina Smith, Antoinette Williams, Delesha Walton, Allen Michael Anderson, Travis William Anderson and Aisha Jane Anderson. Six grandchildren: Zhane, Dae’Zha, Jaden, Zayah, Omari, Makai. Two Sisters, Tina Earlene Bailey and Charlotte Baker (Richard). A host of nephews, nieces, and Cousins.

Rest well, brave soul. Your battle is over.
