Celebration of Life Mother Barbara Lee Patton


Mother Barbara Lee Patton was born on August 19, 1943. She was the oldest of nine children born to the blessed union of Supt. Luther J. and Mother Anna Louis Green. Mother Barbara Patton was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, godmother, and a dear friend to many. Mother Patton was surrounded by her loving family when she peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 2, 2023.

Mother Patton was undeniably a beautiful and fun-loving person to be around. She was compassionate, giving, a great cook, and she demonstrated empathy for others. Mother Patton was a great listener and had an uncanny ability to make everyone around her feel special.

Mother Barbara Patton was preceded in death by her loving parents, Supt. Luther James Green, Mother Anna Louise Green, grandparents, Samuel Jones and Mother Mazell Jones. Husband of 55 years, Robert Patton, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter, Temeatris Struthers (Mateo), two sons, Elder Robert E. Patton, Jr (Kim), and Julian Ross. Her loving sisters, Lady Mazell Townsel (Supt. Jesse Townsel), and Tatyana Green; one brother, Andre Green). Four brothers preceded her in death: Kenneth Green (Diane), Luther Green (Ava), Elder Gregori Green (Rhonda), Elder Nathaniel Green (Kathy). One aunt, Mother Bernice Jones, and one uncle, Elder Sammie Jones. Her grandchildren Kevin Loyal (Errin) (Robert, III ( Kentaya), Terrence (Lanisha), Brea, Mateo, II, (Aspen) Temeatris (TT) Greatgrandchildren, Kevin Strothers, Honour, Ajani, Faith, Favor, Israel, Hailey, Samaya, Zion, Robyn, Noah, Mateo, III, Asher, and pending arrival (Maple) She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
