Celebration The Life of James Kalvin Huggins “Rat”


Kalvin was born December 25, 1965 in Zachary, Louisiana. He passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, WA.

Kalvin is survived by his wife, Tanya Young Huggins in Seattle, Washington, mother and stepfather, Lear Huggins (Leal) Flagg, Zachary, LA, adopted father Reverend James L (Norma) Huggins, Baton Rouge, LA; Brother Minister Randy M (LaShonda) Williams Sr., Sisters Erica Flagg-Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA and Patricia (Calvin) Rogers of Baker, LA.

Kalvin will be remembered in the hearts of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends in Baker, Baton Rouge and Zachary, Louisiana; North Carolina, Texas and Washington.

Preceded in death by his adopted mother, Willie Pearl Hector Huggins and Grandparents Herman and Harriett Huggins, Sr.

Kalvin graduated in 1986 from Northeast (formally Chaneyville) High School in Zachary, LA.

Kalvin was a member at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Seattle, WA. He loved Sports, Cars, TV shows, and Family Gatherings.
