Derrick “Pookie” Charles Brooks

Derrick Charles Brooks was born to Shirley Ann Brooks & Simon Johnson on October 29, 1981, in Greenville, Mississippi. After his birt,h the family relocated to Seattle, WA where he attended Ingraham High School and was a member at Full Gospel Pentecostal Church.

Derrick was active in his community and became a Certified Washington State Mentor. Derrick had many talents, including a podcast on his YouTube Chanel (@derrickbilleostemytv), cooking, he was an inspiring author of 100 positive affirmations, and was also an active member of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance Group.

The Lord called Derrick home on November 28, 2025. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Shirley Ann Brooks, and his grandparents, Jim & Annie Brooks, and his nephews Dominique and Kadon Brown.

Derrick’s memories will be cherished by his four sons. Derrick is loved and we treasure our memories with him. He is in our hearts forever.
