Honoring the Homegoing of a Seattle Legend De’Shawn Thankful Jimerson


was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1982 to the union of Juanita Rolax-Jimerson and Willard C. Jimerson Sr.

De’Shawn grew up in Seattle’s historic Central District where he attended Leschi Elementary and Washington Middle School before moving to Atlanta, GA in 1995 to live with his second mother Debra Rolax, where he finished middle school.

De’Shawn completed high school at Nova and had taken college courses at Seattle Central College and Bellevue College.


De’Shawn was affectionally known as Dada or Thankful among his family and he was known as Dolce Drako among his extended friends and family. He was a well respected Seattle legend who stood big on integrity and never folding on your morals or values. If you ever had the privilege and honor of knowing De’Shawn then you knew you had a great friend and a real one on your side. He is now a spiritual warrior alongside the ancestors helping to guard and guide us here on earth. De’Shawn T. Jimerson aka Dolce Drako will forever hold a special place in the heart and memories of all who had the honor of knowing this Seattle Legend hailing out of the Central District. #LongLiveKingDrako
