In Loving Memory of Alice Lewis

Alice Lewis July 28.1927 ~ January 2, 2023

Alice was born to Obadiah Martin and Edith Bosley on Thursday, July 28, 1927, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was later raised by her Grandparents Ollie and Rufus Bosley in Wilmar, Arkansas. After completing grades 1 through 8 in the same classroom and then losing her grandmother, Alice persuaded her favorite Uncle Kermit to allow her to join him and his family in Seattle in 1940. In 1944, Alice met and married Herman E Milas Sr. and from this union LaVerna Jean, Herlecia and Herman Jr. were born. In 1961, Alice married Recie Lewis and from this union Recie Marc and Kevin Allan were born. Throughout the years Alice used skills she learned from her grandmother Ollie while learning new ones at various employers. Her employment started by working at Marine (now called Pacific Medical) and University hospitals. Later she worked for the Chrysler Corporation (Detroit, MI) and finally, retired in 1989 from Safeway. Although Alice enjoyed many forms of employment through the years, her favorite work was being a volunteer Bible teacher as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Alice is survived by her children, Herlecia Brown (Walter), Herman Milas, Recie Marc and Kevin Allan Lewis, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister, Gennetha Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
