In Loving Memory of Bruce Wayne Tackett Sr,


Bruce Wayne Tackett Sr., beloved Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, and Friend, passed away August 31, 2021, in Federal Way, Washington. He was born June 20, 1958, in West Chester, Pennsylvania to Ernest and Gertie Tackett. While still in High School at Lincoln in Seattle, Washington, Bruce met Genera, and soon after he graduated they were married. Bruce was hard-working, committed to his family, and never missed church. Bruce enjoyed being with his family, they traveled and had many adventures. He enjoyed camping, cooking, and just enjoyed life. He loved laughing, being goofy, and was a TEASER! Bruce was a good listener and always saw the positive. He always saw the good in people and taught them to forgive. He was a man of few words, teaching many of his lessons by example. And although he often worked multiple jobs to support his family, he still found time to be a Cub Scout Den Leader. Bruce enjoyed building model cars, traveling, collecting VHS movies. He was a master at the Claw Crane Machine and had a bedroom full of stuffed dolls that he won. He also enjoyed listening to bands such as War, Jimi Hendrix, Earth, Wind and Fire, James Brown, and Donald Byrd. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Gertie, his brother JuJu, his sisters Rita and Sharon, and the one and only love of his life Genera Lynne Tackett. He is survived by his sons, Neill Bernard Hoover (Christina), Bruce Wayne Tackett Jr., Anthony Dawayne Tackett, and his daughter, Laneeta Rose Tackett. His granddaughters, Synelle Martinique Hoover, Novalyn Grace Blake Hoover, and Norlaina Mary Grace Blake Hoover. As well as, his sisters Darlene, Brenda, Lisa, Cynthia, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Bethany Church - Christ Holiness, 2417 So. King St. Seattle, WA on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, at 12:noon. Repast gathering imminently following at John C. Little Park, 6961 37th Ave So. Seattle, WA 98118
