Carmen Germaine West was born the first child of five to the late Willie And Minnie West on April 27, 1961, in Seattle, Washington.
Carmen graduated from James A. Garfield High School and attended Washington State University (WSU) before adventuring to Alaska to catch fish for the surrounding businesses, but her love of children soon led her to open Wonderland Childcare where she cared for many children in the community for 15 years. Her life would seem too short to many, but those who had a chance to know her will remember her kind and humorous personality.
Carmen was predeceased by her parents Willie and Minnie West. She is survived by daughter Samantha West, Seattle, WA, and two granddaughters: Peyton and Zuri. Continuing to celebrate her life and memories are her siblings: Lisa B. West-Gardner, Atlanta, GA, Willie G. West Jr., Seattle, WA, Earl L. and Signe T. N. West, Atlanta, GA. Also in mourning are her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, and a host of daycare children and friends.
Carmen was a daughter, sister, mother, role model, and friend to all that had met her and will be forever loved.
