Chikutia “Sheila” Britt
May 15, 1958 – December 18, 2025 Chikutia “Sheila” Britt, affectionately known as Ms. Sheila B, passed away on December 18, 2025. She was born on May 15, 1958, in South Bend, Indiana, to Jv and Yvonne Britt, and moved to Seattle, Washington at the age of five. Seattle became her lifelong home—a city she truly loved and enjoyed to the fullest. Sheila cherished good times, close friendships, and above all, her family. She was the proud mother of Monte’ Britt Sr. and Monique Britt, and a devoted grandmother to Monte’ Jr., La’Riah, Taniah, Tayelyn, and Thomas Jr. She is survived by her sister Denise Britt Austin, nephew Mason Austin, brother-in-law Raymond Austin, and a host of beloved cousins spanning from Seattle, Washington, to Mississippi. Sheila was a true gem—straightforward, honest, and strong, yet known for her heart of gold. She treasured her family and the bonds she built throughout her life. Her presence, laughter, and love will never be forgotten. Ms. Sheila B will always and forever be missed. Service Details
A funeral service honoring the life of Chikutia “Sheila” Britt will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Greater Glory, located at 6419 Martin Luther King Jr. Way South, Seattle, Washington. Repast
Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a repast from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at The Royal Esquire Club, 5016 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118.
