Denise Louise Holmes, 63, of Seattle, WA passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 26th, 2023. Denise was born on September 20th 2960 to Louise (Posley) Nichols and Richard Norwood. After Denise graduated from Cleveland High School in 1978, she ended up working with the Seattle Public School District before her un- timely passing. In September 1986, she was united in Holy Mat- rimony to Mark Holmes. From this union, they had two children: Cherece and Marcus. Denise was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to many. She expressed her love in many ways including her love for arts and crafts in various forms, cooking, shopping and spending time with those around her. Denise leaves to mourn and celebrate the mem- ories, her husband, Mark Holmes, her children, Cherece Holmes and Marcus Holmes. Her sib- lings: Symantha Cola, Tammy Norwood, Mon- qiue Norwood, and Richard (Gene) Norwood. She was preceded in passing by her mother, Louise (Jessie) Nichols, her father Richard Nor- wood, her sibling Sheryl Norwood, and Califor- nia & Yvonne Mondie. She also leaves behind a host of family and friends. Services will be Saturday November 18th 2023 at 11am at Greater Mount Baker Baptist Church 2425 S Jackson St. Seattle, WA 98144
