Donta was born on October 21st, 1977 in Flint Michigan to parents Rita Lynch and Curtis Lee Richard, who both preceded him in death. Donta moved to Seattle, Washington as a young boy. His smile would often light up the room and his laughter would complement his dimples. He was given the nickname D-Nutt. Donta leaves 2 children: daughter, Dalayjha Jhavae Bell-Richard, age 25, son Dantè Marcell Barquet-Richard age 19; and 9 siblings: Kanisha Richard, Jennifer Renfro, Satia Leatherberry, Markiesha Linear, Miandra Linear, Chekari Petty, Takyrah Richard, O'Shae Richard, Da'Johntae Richard. Aunt Judith, uncle Mike Senior and step mom Le Ghea Richard. Viewing services 2-6pm Thursday May 13, 2021 at Scott Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11am New Hope Baptist Church 124 21st Ave, Seattle, WA 98122. Services by Scott Funeral Home Tacoma.
Rest in Love, and continue to watch over us. We love and miss you baby daddy and I promise you will receive justice in God's timing. Thank you for giving me a beautiful baby, thank you for loving my youngest like she was yours, thank you for doing the best you could with what you had. My only solace is that I know your not having to navigate a system that made your condition worse, and that you no longer have to go through that. I still remember your voice, your laugh, you being you. You was really my friend and when you left I lost my only friend. You will never be forgotten baby.
