In Loving Memory of Dora Simmons

After a long illness, Dora Ellen Simmons, 87, passed away peacefully at her home on June 21^st, 2025. Born Nov.1^st in Detroit to Ellen Frances and Dr. Alvin P. Hall, she grew up in the Midwest. After H.S., she married U.S. Airman Arthur Mitchum. Later relocating, she met and married Roscoe Simmons. They loved playing bridge, gardening, travelling, and socializing with their friends and family; she will be remembered for her generosity and sense of fair play. Dora Ellen is survived by her eldest daughter Doreen Mitchum and was preceded in death by her spouse Roscoe, her brother, Alvin P. Hall Jr., and her youngest daughter Tanya Lorelle. 

The Visitation will be at 3:00 pm on August 7^th at M.B. Daniels Mortuary, 714 Central Ave. S., Kent. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church at 1:00 pm on August 9^that 6020 Beacon Ave. S.
