Dora Swain-Young was born May 13, 1959 in Los Angeles, California. Her parents were Lafayette and Myrtle Swain. She was the oldest of 13 siblings.
She attended Dorsey High School in LA. At 15 years old she met the love of her life, Gregory Young. In 1985, Dora and Greg moved to Washington. They had 8 kids, the oldest Gregory and the youngest Ericka, along with a lifelong stepdaughter Christina. She was married 44 years, a lifetime of crazy, silly memories. Dora was many things but the main one was loving. She touched everyone's hearts without even trying, always put others before herself and was extremely respectful to anyone who came her way. She leaves her beautiful children and grandchildren with a legacy that love fights all battles. Rest in Paradise Dora, you are loved.
