Elder James Aaron Fields Sr., was born to the union of James and Ruby Fields in Little Rock, Arkansas, August 4,1944. James and family relocated to Seattle, Washington when he was 4 years old. The oldest of 6 children, he lived and spent his formative years in Seattle’s Central District. He Graduated from Franklin High-School in 1962. James was known for his sharp appearance, He earned his alias “Jimmy Diamonds,” as he had an affinity for the finer things in life. He met the love of his life, Connie Fields in 1959 and They had their first son James Jr. and married in 1963. Professionally, James worked for the Boeing Company for 35 years. In 1978, James and his wife had a transformative experience with Jesus Christ. He’d use his dynamic testimony to become one of Seattle’s true leaders of outreach. James spent his life serving, ministering at missions, nursing homes, jails, all throughout the greater Seattle area.
James became a church leader and Elder in the church of God in Christ. He enjoyed teaching bible studies, tending to his garden, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and family . Elder James A. Fields Sr. went home to be with the Lord, September 1, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Fields, children: James Fields Jr. Joshua Fields (Amber), and Tia fFields-Yarbrough (Turner), Brothers, Alton Fields, and Lawrence Fields, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A memorial service will be held September 14th, at Emerald City Bible Fellowship, @11:00AM to honor his memory.
