In Loving Memory of Gladys Louise Jefferson Gonsalves


IN LOVING MEMORY OF GLADYS LOUISE JEFFERSON GONSALVES

Gladys Louise Jefferson Gonsalves was born on April 11, 1933 in Becket, MA. She passed away peacefully April 3, 2023 at her daughter's home in Seattle, WA surrounded by loving family.

In 1967 Gladys married Raymond Gonsalves and the family moved from Springfield, MA, to Seattle, WA. In Seattle Gladys worked, as an LPN, at The University of Washington Hospital and also at Group Health Cooperative until her retirement.

Gladys enjoyed camping with her husband and grandchildren, loved traveling with family and friends, family gatherings, and her weekly card game with her cousins.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Gonsalves; her parents; brothers; Harry “Bookie” Jefferson Jr., Ronald Dillard, Francis Dillard, Gerald Dillard, and Kenny Berkeley; a sister, Elizabeth “Betsy” Dillard.

She leaves 2 daughters to cherish her memory, Deborah Washington (Leonard) and Sharon Walker, 2 sisters Paula Todd (Timothy), Julie Dillard, and a brother Kevin Berkeley, 3 grandchildren Michelle Washington, Adren Washington (Ettina), Damita Nathan, 3 great grandchildren, Terry, Dywaun, Kalisea, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, extended family and friends.

Gladys was a long time and faithful member of New Birth Ministries Church in Seattle under the direction of Pastors Maynard and Carol Sopher.

A celebration of life service will be held May 20, 2023, 1 PM at New Birth Ministries
