In Loving Memory of Jessie "Joy" Beckwith (Morris)

Jessie "Joy" Beckwith (Morris) was born in Portland, OR to Harold and Jessie Morris on December 10, 1943.

She was known to everyone as Joy. She was the oldest of 4 children and grew up in the central area of Seattle, where she graduated from Garfield High School in 1962.

Joy married Freddie Lee Beckwith in 1965. Together they would raise 3 children.

Joy would make her career as a Reservation Sales Representative for United Airlines, where she retired in 2003. Joy departed this earth on her 79th birthday, December 10th, 2022. She is finally with the love of her life, Freddie.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents; Harold and Jessie, husband Freddie, brother Roger, and Grandson Shaun. Carrying on her memory will be children Toni Washington (Ellis McDaniel), Jeremy (Trina), and Shana. Grandchildren Dionna, Tonia, Jeremy II, and great-grandson Daryl. Sisters Patricia Townsel and Stella Powell; and so many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, and close family friends that she loved with her whole heart.

A celebration of life will be held in honor of Joy Beckwith on Saturday, January 7th, 2022 at Tukwila Community Center at 1 PM.
