In Loving Memory of Joseph Calloway

Joseph was born August 26, 1960 in Seattle Washington. He attended Madrona Elementary School, Eckstein Middle School and Nathan Hale High School.

Joseph loved God. Raised Pentecostal by his parents, Elder Joseph Calloway, Mother Tobitha Calloway, and his sister Shirley Calloway-Greene. He gave his life to God at a young age at House of Refuge Church of God Pentecostal, under the late Bishop R.J. Causey and was later pastored under the leadership of his cousin/mentor the late, Rev. Willie Calloway at Bethany Temple Church Pentecostal. Joseph absolutely loved his “Calloway” name.

Joe was very skilled. He was taught by his mother to play the organ at a young age, and he was an awesome musician. Joe was a carpenter, car detailer, mechanic, cook, seamstress, and many more. If you needed anything, Joe could do it. He had a humongous heart and was full of life. There was nothing that Joe would not do for his family and friends. His favorite saying, “understand me” shall ring in our hearts forever.

On January 30, 2022 Joseph departed this realm and has gone home. He leaves to cherish his love and memories with his mother, Mother Tobitha Calloway. Ex- Wife Carmen Calloway. Children Shammara Calloway and Larita Nunnery-Smalls. Grandchildren JaMara Edwards, Reonna Haywood, Semaria Flowers, Noah Flowers and great grandchild Ariana Howard.
