Lavada was born April 29, 1953 in Tacoma. She attended McCarver Elementary, Stadium High School, and Fort Steilacoom College. She worked as a Kidney Dialysis tech and in retail until her health deteriorated and she could no longer work.
Lavada held a special place in her heart for those she cherished especially her children. She transitioned into rest June 30, 2021 and is survived by her four children; Julian Jenkins, Izetta Dillingham, Jason Dillingham, and Bubba Dillingham Jr., 13 grandchildren, partner Larry Johnson; dad, Fletcher Jenkins and a brother Fletcher Jenkins Jr.
