Leonard McDade was born on March 7th, 1940, in Winnfield, Louisiana, Leonard (Len) also known as “Big Mac” McDade, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 23rd, 2022. He was the oldest of six children to Lois Williams and Ellis McDade Sr. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and oldest sister Martha Edmondson.

He moved to Seattle at 18, and eventually became the Foreman for General Disposal in Seattle for 42 years.

It was there that he received the nickname “Big Mac.”

Leonard is survived by his wife Carole (Barlia), Three brothers and one sister, Charles McDade, Thelma (Lawrence) Williams, Ellis McDade Jr., and Lonnie McDade. Children, Carolyn McDade, Renee McDade, Rochelle (Spencer) Otis, and Andre McDade. Grandchildren, Chanel Otis and Schmon Otis.

Len will be remembered always and missed by the many people whose lives he touched.
