In Loving Memory of Letitia Ann West

Letitia Ann West was born in Seattle, WA, on November 11, 1963. She is the third of six children born to the union of Irving Sr. and Edna West. She attended Seattle Public Schools, growing up in the Mount Baker community. Letitia was known to many as “Tish.” She was a natural-born leader, ruling the playground of her elementary school and acquiring many friends along the way. She was always there to protect, lend a helping hand, and help resolve any issues that may arise.

She loved to eat sour balls and ginger and lemon preserve; playing kickball and hanging with friends from the neighborhood were all staples of her childhood. Throughout her life, she applied her gifts of helping people to customer service and sales, obtaining many accolades, and earning awards along the way.

Tish loved to cook; she inherited her cooking skills from her mother.  She would always ask, “Are you hungry, baby?” She also loved to do hair and created many “elixirs” to help your hair grow. When she was finished with your hair, it was a no-no to say, “Thank you.” She commanded you to say, “More hair.”

Tish cherished her family and friends and would do anything in the world for them. She gave her beloved ones a name of endearment, calling her oldest son “Suki my Buki.” She loved all sports, was a diehard Seahawks fan, and loved anything pink.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jessie and Marie Moore, and her mother, Edna West. Letitia leaves to honor her memory: father, Irving West Sr., children, Eunice Palmer III (Jeanine), Dejane West, Shiron Ciara West, and Cionte West; grandchildren, Eunice Palmer IV, Alora Palmer, Zalen West, and Aneres West; siblings, Clyde Wells Jr. (Katherine), Janice Bentley (Charles), Irving West Jr., Victoria West, and Geylar Locke (Phillip); a host of nephews and nieces; many other loving relatives; and longtime friends.

The Family wishes to have a private Memorial service. Please feel free to join family and friends, at the repass on Sat. 5/4 from 2PM – 4PM at Full Gospel Pentecostal 5071 Delridge Way SW, Seattle, WA 98106
