MARGARET G. TATE - Margaret Genell Tate was born April 27, 1935 (Sunrise) and passed on January 3, 2022 (Sunset). Margaret was the youngest of two daughters, born to Pretus & Matilda Dawkins in Farmersville, LA. As a graduate of Farmerville High School, she matriculated to Grambling State University where she met her husband, Willis Tate at 17 years old. The two celebrated 65 years together on New Year’s Eve and raised four sons in the Seattle metropolitan area and Mercer Island, WA. Margaret graduated from Seattle University and held positions within King County before her retirement. Many who know Margaret will be reminded of her love for God, family, fashion and generosity. Margaret is survived by her loving husband, sons – Reginald (Reggie), Stanley (Stan), Keith and Brett Tate, 4 daughter-in-laws and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:30 am.
