
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ms. Debra Collette Jackson departed this life on February 6th, 2025, surrounded by love and friendship. Born on July 16, 1959, in St. Petersburg, Florida, to Bettye and Bobby Jackson, Debra moved with her parents to Seattle, where she built a life filled with laughter, warmth, and unwavering faith.
A proud graduate of Rainier Beach High School, Debra continued her education at Seattle University, earning her bachelor's degree and later completed her MBA. She was a woman of intelligence and ambition, always striving for excellence in all she pursued.
Debra had a passion for good food and even better company. She loved hanging out with her family and friends. Her infectious laughter could light up any room, and those who knew her best will forever remember her signature phrase: "Don't make my booty tired!" She was stylish, vibrant, and always impeccably put together, it was no secret that she loved to shop! An undeniable presence at every gathering, truly the life of the party.
Though she was an only child, Debra was blessed with many cousins and an extraordinary circle of sister-friends who stood by her side through every season of life, especially in her final days. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and she gave freely of her heart to those she loved.
Above all, Debra was a woman of deep faith. She gave her heart to Christ at an early age and carried that devotion throughout her life. She was a part of Women Aglow- Seattle, and she attended Renton Assembly of God now New Life Church. Her spirit, full of joy and grace, will live on in the countless lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Bettye and Bobby Jackson. She leaves to cherish her memory her godchildren, cousins, and a host of dear family and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Rest well, Debra. You were loved beyond measure, and your spirit will forever dance in our hearts.
