In Loving Memory of Pastor Joyce Hackett

Pastor Joyce Y. Hackett of Greater Light Church and Ministries went home to be with the Lord on Sunday January 30, 2022. She was installed as Pastor by her late husband, Bishop Hackett and she has faithfully and successfully shepherded the congregation for twelve years.

Born in St. Catherine, Jamaica on August 22, 1946, and emigrating to the United States at the age of 19; for most of the past 55 years Pastor Hackett worked in ministry, establishing and leading churches in Columbus, Ohio and Seattle, Washington.

The impact of her presence has been immense and while the pain of her loss will be enduring, we are comforted by the knowledge that she is resting peacefully in the bosom of the Lord.

Pastor Joyce Hackett was preceded in death by her husband Bishop Willard W. Hackett and their eldest son, Minister Jeffrey D. Hackett. She leaves behind her two sons, Elder Karl Anthony Hackett and Prophet Samuel Elijah Hackett and their families. In addition, Pastor Hackett is survived by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her siblings, Georgia, Paul, David, Davine, Gem and Juliet.

We are grateful to have had the privilege of her presence in our lives and we're honored to carry on in the legacy of Holiness that she so beautifully embodied.

In celebration of her life visitation will be from 10:00am Sat. Feb. 26, 2022 until Homegoing services at 11:00am at Faith Deliverance Church 2642 S 138th St. SeaTac, WA 98168. Guestbook available at SerenitySeattle.com
