Peter passed away at the age of 67 on August 31st 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy that will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who knew him. Born in the beautiful Pacific Northwest to loving parents, Otis Mitchell and Detroia J. Weatherspoon, Peter Green lived an incredible life filled with purpose and compassion. A former student of Ballard Highschool and Vocational Technical College, Peter honed his craft and had a great impact while being a dedicated employee of The City of Seattle. He was skilled in many trades, had a vast amount of experience, and was greatly appreciated as a consultant and expert in his field. In so many words, Peter was a shining example of resilience, intelligence, and perseverance, facing life's challenges with unwavering determination. He was a source of wisdom not only for his family but also for many of his friends. He had a way of connecting with so many people on many levels, with an undeniable spirit, and an amazing laugh. He was the light of the room and the life of the party. Peter is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Lawrence Green, Paul Weatherspoon, and Stevie Weatherspoon. He is survived by his siblings (Donnetta GreenPowell, Patricia “Pattie” Green, his twin sister Paulette Green, and David Weatherspoon), his four children (Peter Green Jr., LaTosha Dent, Samuel Green, Rayana Dent), 11 grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. He leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories, from family gatherings to special moments shared with each of his children. Their bond with their father was unbreakable and his love and support were the cornerstones of their lives. His incredible 11 grandchildren will help the Green family legacy continue through the years, in the name of their remarkable grandfather. Peter touched the lives of many through his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. His impact was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we mourn the loss of Peter J.
