In Loving Memory of Richard Lee Lowe.


Richard Lee Lowe, aka “Cup”, “Lefty” and “Hammer”, born in Satin, Texas on September 7,1946, died peacefully on March 23, 2022. He was the only son of Robert and Olevia Lowe. At 13, Richard moved to Seattle with his family.



Richard attended Washington Middle School and Garfield High School (c/o ‘65). He served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He received numerous honors, including a Purple Heart. He worked at the Boeing Company and the Port of Seattle. He was a member of First A.M.E. Church. Richard leaves to treasure his memories: His children Treffaney and Reginald Lowe; his sisters, Freddie-Faye Lowe and Euna Green; his grandchildren Dejanai Lowe-Hilliard, Ryan Herring, Keyah-Serata Hetherington and Anijah Lowe; nephew, Stevie Craig Lowe; along with a host of family and friends. Proceeding Richard in death were his parents, Robert and Olevia Lowe, and his sisters Mary Louise London and Lula Lowe.
