In Loving Memory of Richard Simmons JR.

Richard Simmons Jr., born October 18, 1943, passed away on December 27, 2023. A dedicated USPS retiree, Richard was a lifetime member of Prince Hall Grand Lodge and a proud Shriner of Beni Hassan Temple #64. He deeply impacted many through his commitment to the Knights of Pythagoras. 

Richard is lovingly remembered by his wife Laura, children Lavenia (Derek), Ryan, LaTisha, Benjamin, siblings Letha Mae, Tina Marie, John (Rae), and a wide circle of family and friends. Known for his infectious giggle, love of Black history and strong faith, Richard was a source of strength and joy.

Join a celebration of his life on January 20, 2024, at 11 am, Greater Mt. Baker Missionary Baptist Church, Seattle. Donations in his honor can be made to the GoFundMe established in his name to continue his legacy of mentoring youth and education.
