Sunset 1/11/2022

Rose, Rosie, Mom, Baby Sis, Slinky T, Mama Rose, Lil' Rosie, Bookend, and Auntie Rosie are names she answered to; but the title she was most proud of was Nana. Being a Grandmother was a beloved mission for her.

Born in the Yesler Terrace and raised on Capitol Hill Rose attended Stevens Elementary, Meany Middle, and Garfield High Schools, graduating in 1981.

She began her work career at Tele-Check and retired in 2020 after 30 plus years at Costco Wholesale in its Corporate Office.

Rosie knew she was a child of God. As a young woman she was a member of Holgate Church and later became a member of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of HB Sampson, where she held multiple leadership positions.

Rose was blessed with a beautiful smile, a heart to match, and the ability to positively affect the lives of her family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. She will be thought of lovingly and truly be missed.

She was pre-deceased by her Mother, Rosa Lee Thompson; Charles and Joseph, her brothers; Sanai, her granddaughter; and Angela, her niece.

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her, including Danielle, her daughter; Dianna (Diane) and Jo Ann, sisters; Clifford, Cardell, and Clarence (Tubb), brothers; Malikai and Jaylen, grandsons; Odessa, Michael, Stephanie, Dalyn, Jordyn, Michael Jr., Seth, Stacia, Ashley, Brooklyn, Aaliyah, nieces and nephews; former son-in-law, Christopher, and many treasured God-children.

A viewing will be held on 2/4/22 (her birthday) at Sea-Tac BonneyWatson from 10am to 12 noon. A graveside service will take place at 2pm at Abbey View Cemetery in Lk. Forest Park/Brier.

Wear a splash of Red (her favorite) or Pink. There will be a Celebration of Rosie's life at a later date. Please wear a mask and follow Covid precautions.
