In Loving Memory of Rufus D. Burleson

Rufus D. Burleson, Jr. was born on July 20, 1951, to the late Rufus D. Burleson, Sr. and Jer line Rhodes Burleson, in Hearn, Texas.. Grow ing up, Rufus was a gifted athlete, excelling as a track and field star at Booker T. Washington High School. Right after graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the U.S. Army, where he had a distinguished and honor able military career. While stationed at Ft. Lewis, fate brought him together with the love of his life, Debra, and they married on October 7, 1983, who remained a loyal and devoted wife until the end. Rufus departed this life Friday October 4, 2024. Services Saturday October 19, 2024, 11:00am @ Shiloh Baptist Church, 1211 S. I ST, Tacoma, WA.
