In Loving Memory of Rutha Lee Braswell

Rutha Lee Braswell peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

She was born December 13, 1937, in Valdosta, Georgia, the eldest of six children of Willie Mae Wells and her husband, James Wells.

Rutha will be remembered for her servant’s heart, radiant smile, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her brother Curtis (Karen) Wells; Sister Gloria Johnson; beloved Aunt Ida Graham; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Mae and James Wells; sisters Gloria Jean Williams, Lillie Mitchell, and Brenda Frost; and brother Eddie Wells.
