In Loving Memory of Sandra Gale Wilson


Sandra (Sandy) Gale Wilson

Sandra was born on June 22, 1952, in Seattle, WA to the union of Robert and Evelyn Burns. She was one of three daughters. God called her home “February 21, 2022”.

She graduated from Cleveland High School in Seattle, WA. She received an AA degree in Early Childhood education from Seattle Central Community College. She married Wayne Everett Wilson on December 22, 1972. Within that union, three children were born, Latrice, Lynette, and Wayne Wilson JR.

She loved working with people and children. She was a CNA for several years before she started working for the Seattle School District YMCA program. She found God at an early age. She was a member of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship. She also loved to sing. She was a proud member of Cora L. Jackson’s S.T.A.N.D. Gospel Choir where they produced two CDs. Her favorite two songs were “Got to be Real” by Cheryl Lynn and “Best of My Love” by The Emotions. She loved her grandchildren and Great Granddaughter dearly.

She is survived by her sisters, Dyan Sturm and Trena Walker. Her two children Latrice Wilson and Wayne Wilson JR. Her five grandchildren, Mia Johnson, Nazari Taylor, Michael Wilson, Dominique Wilson, and Shaye Wilson, her great-granddaughter Amina Johnson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her mother (Evelyn), father (Robert), husband (Wayne), and daughter (Lynette).

No funeral or memorial service will be held at this time due to COVID-19. There will be a celebration at a later date.
