In Loving Memory of Serada Tigner



Serada Tigner

Sunrise June 5th,1934 ~ Sunset January 11, 2026

Serada Tigner affectionally known as Mama Rada, was born on June 5th, 1934, in Minden Louisianna to William Phenix and Marie Stephens. She was adopted shortly after by her Aunt Allie May Merritt and Husband Joseph Cotrell Merritt and raised in Seattle WA.  She had a passion for helping others and had a way with people that made them smile from the inside out.  Serada married the love of her life, Oneil Tigner affectionally referred to as Tiger, one sweet day on August 25th, 1967, and were together over 35 years before his passing. Serada had two children, Fredrick Earl Merritt Sr and Dewayne Alfred Pickney. She had 5 Grandchildren Fredrick Merritt Jr, Erica Merritt and Eric Merritt as well as Jewayne Pickney and Brian Barners. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.  Serada loved her family with every fiber of her being and was dedicated to ensuring their happiness.  She was an exquisite cook and loved to show her love through preparing mouthwatering southern dishes for her family. She had an eagle eye and didn’t miss a beat She was also extremely wise, discerning and kindhearted. Her infectious personality made her a force to be reckoned with.

Funeral Service for Serada Tigner will be held on Feb 5th,2026 at Bonney Watson Funeral Home located at Address: 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188

Public Viewing will be held from 1:00pm -4:00pm at Bonney Watson Funeral Home in SeaTac WA.
