Tommy Johnson passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2026. He was born on August 27, 1940, in Ozark, Arkansas, to the late Effie Johnson and Joseph Johnson.
During the Second Great Migration, Tommy relocated from Ozark to Seattle to join his oldest sister and brother, pursue greater opportunities, and be closer to other family members who had also made the move.
Tommy was a faithful and devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Known for his kind heart, loving spirit, and joyful personality, Tommy brought laughter and light wherever he went. He took great pride in his appearance and was always well dressed. A natural storyteller, he captivated those around him with vivid memories and humor. His warmth and welcoming presence made everyone feel at ease.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Karen Estes, Donna Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Veronica Johnson, and Dewayne Johnson; his brothers, Henry Johnson and Warren Johnson; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
A private Celebration of Life was held with family. Tommy will be lovingly remembered for his kind heart, joyful spirit, and the lasting impact he made on everyone he met.
