In Loving Memory of Valetta Danyel Hawkins Williams



Valetta Danyel Hawkins Williams (nickname Kitten) was born March 15, 1968 in Seattle Washington. Kitten was raised by her beloved mother Evelyn Moore.

Kitten graduated from Rainier Beach High School class of 1986. She was a track sprinter and won several awards including a state record on the 400-meter relay team. Kitten graduated in 1992 from the University of Washington with a BA degree in Education. In June 1993, Kitten married Chris Williams and they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Brandi LaRuth Williams 26, Brittni Danielle Williams 23.

Kitten taught in the Federal Way school district and at the Muckleshoot Schools for several years. She also became a Chemical Dependency Counselor and a State Licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional, working for Pierce County Alliance in Tacoma.

She is proceeded in death by her mother Evelyn LaRuth Moore, her grandparents Rev. Otis and Addie Moore, her uncle Otis Moore, Jr. Also, her aunt and uncle John and Juanita Howard. Her 3 brothers-in-law Bernard Williams, Doug McWhorter, and Floyd Williams.

Kitten is survived by Chris her husband and her two daughters Brandi and Brittni, and her two great aunts Trisha and Joe Ann Moore. Her mother-in-law Lela Sanders, her cousins Alesia (husband Vincent) Catrina, Jasmine, Amira, Nia, Micah, Jordan, Jacob, and John Curtis, and a host of family and friends.
