Van Rickey Davis, Rickey to his friends, passed away on August 16 after a courageous fight against esophageal cancer. A multi-sport athlete, he lettered in baseball and graduated from Garfield in 1974. Rickey was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, and leaves sons Jamal and Michael Charles, as well as six grand-children. At his request there will be no service. When you think of Rickey, smile and remember a moment you shared with him.
