Vernon was born in Seattle, Wa of the late Edgar Lee Brown and Ora-Nell Brown Adams, he is preceded in death by his sister Irma Jean Porter & brother Michael L. Brown. He was a graduate of Garfield Highschool Class of 1966. He was a member of _Center of Faith COGIC Church, in Kent WA,

He loved fishing, gardening, and was an excellent craftsman ship, and most of all he loved the challenges of putting together his puzzles.

Vernon was a member of the BoilerMakers and Western Metal Industry Unions, and owner of Brown Metal Fab.
