In Loving Memory of Minnie Fields


Born in Little Rock Arkansas on January 15,1923. She went home to see the lord on May 19, 2020. She graduated from Dunbar High School and moved to Seattle in 1952 where she was employed by Children's Orthopedics Hospital as a EKG Technician until her retirement after 35 years. After retirement she worked at the Kingdom for many years. Minnie was a former member of Walker Chapel AME church and later moved her membership to Paradise Baptist Church under Pastor Booker T. Kendricks where she remained a member until her passing. Minnie Fields was an icon in the bridge community. A faithful member of the Coasters Bridge Club, she was also a constant player at Le Etta King Club, Monday and Tuesday games at the Senior Center and at Wednesday games at the Rainier Senior Center. Minnie Fields was a quiet and steady presence in the bridge community and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Fields, Jr., her mother Bridgette Murphy and her son Harvey Murphy. Minnie is survived by her son Charles Murphy and 5 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren all of Seattle,Washington
