WORKSHOPS AT THE SEATTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY IN NOVEMBER
New to Medicare? Get answers to your questions about Medicare health care and coverage at The Seattle Public Library's online, two-part Medicare Made Clear series in November.
Medicare specialist Jean Cormier of Cormier Insurance will provide an overview of the different parts of Medicare, what each part covers and how they work.
Library events are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is required for each class; sign up in the Library's calendar.
· 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 - Medicare Made Clear. This workshop will provide an overview of the different parts of Medicare (Parts A, B, C. D and supplements). There will be a discussion of the different ways to receive benefits, including the pros and cons of each and approximate costs. Enrollment and eligibility guidelines will also be covered.
· 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 - Medicare Drug Coverage 101. This workshop gives an overview of Medicare Part D drug coverage including when to enroll, how to calculate costs and select a plan, the four stages of coverage, and additional resources for the cost of prescriptions.

On Oct. 6, Gov. Jay Inslee announced that public libraries may allow some indoor service at 25 percent capacity in Phase 2 of his Safe Start reopening plan. The Seattle Public Library is assessing the new reopening requirements with current planning efforts to expand services. The safety of our patrons and staff is our top priority.
