Rest in Peace Mr. Willie Blanton

Mr. Willie Blanton was born in Natchez, MIssissippi on February 9, 1944 to the late James Blanton and Alliner Hampton-Blanton. He departed this life surrounded by his children on June 25, 2022.

Willie attended Sadie B. Thompson High School and graduated with the class of 1962. Upon completion of high school he joined the Army and was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington. After completing his term with the Army he became employed by The Boeing Company. He completed 2 years of technical training at Renton Vocational School and 4 years of the apprenticeship program at Boeing to become a Tool and Dye Maker. Willie retired from The Boeing Company in May 2005 after 45 years of service. He relocated back home to Natachez in 2007. He was a kind and strong man who loved his family. He spent a lot of time fishing and hanging out with family and friends. He was an exceptional cook. His specialty was grilled salmon. Willie met his wife, Torothea Claudette Weaver while stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington. They were married for 44 years. Upon their union, they had twin daughters, Sandra Rose Blanton and Sonya Ann Blanton. As well as their baby girl Nichole Renee Blanton. Willie was preceded in death by his wife: Torothea Claudette Blanton. Parents: James Blanton and Alliner Hampton-Blanton. Brothers: James, David Sr., Benoist, Floyd, and Morris. Sisters: Rosette, Elouise, and Mary. He leaves to cherish his memories: Daughters: Sandra, Sonya, Nichole. 4 Grandsons: Anthony, Micalo, Amari, and Kyler. Granddaughters: Amber and Mykele. Great Grandchildren: Mya, Micalo Jr, Laliah, Zanyah, Zayvion and Zaire. Sister: Johnette Myles, Sister-in-Law: Katie Blanton and a host of neices, nephews and friends. Proverbs 17:6 Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; parents are the pride of their children
