Seattle Center's 60th AnniversaryCelebrates what is New, Now & Next



Six-Month Celebration Kicks off on April 21st with Events, Exclusive Contests & Galaxy Golden Tickets!

Six decades ago the Century 21 Exhibition, also known as the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, attracted nearly 10 million attendees during its six-month run and put Seattle on the world’s map.

This month Seattle Center, the site of the World’s Fair, celebrates 60 years of growth as Seattle’s hub for arts and community gatherings, commemorating what is “New, Now & Next".

Featured events and contests include:

  • Galaxy Golden Tickets, 60 lucky contest winners will receive free single-day access for two at select Seattle Center attractions (e.g. Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, etc.).

  • Kids Coloring Contest, children are invited to color the "World's Largest Birthday Cake" to win a pack of children's prizes.

  • Scavenger Hunt, self-guided scavenger hunt with an opportunity to win a bounty of exclusive Seattle Center experiences (e.g. visit to the roof of the Space Needle, year-long VIP passes to Seattle Center Monorail, etc.).
