Seattle King County NAACP Branch Elects Hayward Evans as President

The NAACP Seattle King County Branch 1136 proudly announces the election of Hayward Evans as the new President of the branch. Evans brings years of community leadership, nonprofit management, and advocacy experience focused on civil rights, economic opportunity, youth empowerment, public safety, and social justice throughout King County.
Since 1913, the Seattle branch continues the NAACP’s historic mission of protecting civil rights and advancing justice for all people through:
Voting rights and civic engagement
Education advocacy
Economic empowerment
Criminal justice reform
Youth leadership development
Health equity and community safety
Fighting discrimination and systemic racism
Founded in 1909, the NAACP remains the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization, with more than 2 million activists and supporters nationwide fighting for equality and justice.
